"Queen of the Stars"

"Goddess of dusk, Goddess of dawn,
Show me the way of light; truth and beyond.

My sight dims; the veil thins...
Reborn a new skin I shed the fear!

Goddess of morning.
Goddess of day!
Healed I am whole!

Teach me the ways of my mothers before.
Teach me the hope shown in the stars!
Until we meet again thank you for the night.
I can see time, I can see my way!"

"Inanna answers matters of love, divination, wine making and
leadership." (Telesco) The Goddess Inanna is famous for answering
prayers related to love, craftsman ship, and help thoughts who have
lost their way. When a person feels that they have been blinded by
untruths either factual or imaginary Inanna will help them to find the
deeper meaning.

Inanna protects her followers from physical, emotional and spiritual
danger by showing them there higher-selves plan and there souls
purpose. Inanna has been known to also help lost travellers find their
way home.

Traditionally people prayed to her to night when they were alone and
could see the stars. Lighting a pungent spice like Cinnamon and
washing the hair for purification were mandatory before a person could
call up this Goddess. In a large group the Higher Priestess would
create a large altar and place offerings on it such as melons, spice's
and berries. The best way a person can connect to Inanna is to do a
spell asking for her guidance at night under the stars.

A Bring Me Back Home Spell.
(to be do on a clear night so you can see the stars)

Need:
1-cleansed body
1-damp hair
1-dress robs colour purple or blue
1-small plate (this will be broken in the ritual)
1-cauldron
2-pungent spices-curry-Cinnamon etc.
3-full sage leaves to burn
1-Staff or Wand with gems or crystals (either maple, oak, ceder w/rose
quartz)

Cast your circle starting in the North and call the directions or what
being you feel comfortable with. Set the sage smoking in the cauldron
and place the plate of mixed spices in the centre of the altar as an
offering for the Goddess Inanna. Now move to the centre of the circle
and hold your arms aloft, head toward the stars, feet firmly planted on
the earth and tell Inanna in what why you know or feel you are lost.
This can be either spiritually, emotionally, mentally or physically. Tell
her out loud of the disconnection in your life and be honest it is only
between you and Inanna.

After you have told Inanna all you need to say turn and face the altar.
Now pick up the cleansed spice plate and walk the circle thrice
sprinkling as you go.

First time around chant:

Deep is the Night.
Helper and Healer,
I need to find my way!"

The second time around chant:

Inanna whisper clear.
Into my sight,
show me the way!
Illuminate my night!

The third time around the circle sprinkling chant:

Vision blurred!
Vision strong!
Show me the truth;
Light the beyond!

Place the empty plate onto your altar and sit crossed legged
comfortable in the centre of the circle. Place your palms up resting on
your knees for receiving and look to the stars. Say out loud:

"I am now ready to receive all that is for my highest good!"

Bow your head, close your eyes and let Inanna's energy wash over
you, through you and know that in this energy is Inanna's message for
you so listen carefully to her. When you see/feel that her energy has
finished stand and move your body gently about giving thanks to the
directions and Inanna.
Close the circle by breaking the plate. Remember to journal about the
energy and your feelings so you can look back on it and know the
message given to you.

Inanna as also been known to answer well through divination. With a
crystal ball or bowl of water a person can receive a message gently
without the need to ground afterwards. As the, "goddess of love and
fertility...her symbol was the reed bundle." (Cotterell).
Casting and reading bones, marked sticks and small reeds can help to
know the sex of your child. Lastly Inanna has been know to help with
divination through dreams and can take away nightmares.
Poem of Inanna

Lady of Heaven; starry night
Lady of truth; sight beyond sight
Lady of Earth send my rebirth!

Endless depths.
you journey long.
Searching out what once was lost.

Lady my soul is in need.
Lady my mind continues to seek.
Lady my breath leaves me still.

I wait...I wait...I wait...

Truth has found it's way to me.
Your light, your night holds my hand.
As I walk with you.
